Juniors walk a different walk…The Ivy League Focus Group

Our junior class of 2011 took a step closer to excellence yesterday by attending a series of Ivy League Discussions. The day started off by their completion of their first round of final exams. Soon after, they listened to their peers through a panel presentation regarding the timeliness that our seniors are following to ensure that they are College-Bound. They also reviewed their PSAT scores in an effort to fully understand the dynamics of PSAT, SAT and ACT testing. They also took part of a Finals Study Hall as well as a series of guided tours through Rice , St. Thomas and the University of Houston. They concluded their Ivy League Focus Group by attending the presentations of Tier 1 Colleges and Universites at the Hattie Mae White Building. There they had the opportunity to visit with recruiters from Rice, Harvard, Yale, Brown and Vanderbilt Universities. Thank you Ms. Limon, Ms. Rachel Flores, Ms. Elia Flores and Ms. Hinojosa for making this opportunity possible for our junior class.
