The National Hispanic Institute and Eastwood Collaborate to develop LEADERS

We would like to thank the representatives from the National Hispanic Institute for their collaboration with the families and students from Eastwood. Eastwood Academy High School hosted their parent information session which involved parents and students from the Houston area. The meeting was designed to promote Hispanic Leaders and to encourage them to sign-up for an out-of-state trip to New York, Colorado, Chicago or to stay within Texas and participate in an eight day summer program at Georgetown. The program also offers the opportunity for our students to participate in the Panama study abroad program. Here at Eastwood Academy High School, we understand that our education does not end in the classroom, therefore, we are supporting up to fifteen students to participate in the program. The LDZ summer camp has been attended by many of our Hispanic Leaders in our community and we are making the students of today, the leaders of tomorrow.
