My name is Rolando “Rudy” Treviño and I completed my undergraduate studies at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in Huntsville, Texas. I also earned two Masters Degrees, one from the University of Houston (M.A. in Spanish Literature and Linguistics) and the other from SHSU (M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Counseling).

Mrs. Rachel Flores, counselor
I am a native Houstonian and have lived here all my life except for the few years I went away to school. I attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedarfall, Iowa. Before it was a university, the college was named Iowa State Teachers College. I have taught first and third grade.

Dr. Eliza Littlefield
My classes are: Art I, Art II and Art III.
I have been making art for about 30 years and love teaching art. This will be my ninth year at Eastwood, let’s make it the best year ever!

Mr. Burgess
Welcome to IT Tech Certification. Mickey Burgess came to Houston ISD in 1998 to teach First Grade. He ran an IT business in Pasadena and online for seven years and now teaches Computer Maintenance and Networking at Eastwood Academy.

Mr. Connor Parker
Mr. Parker worked for a short time as a Corrosion Engineer helping to ensure the safety of gas pipelines before deciding to join the challenging world of education. He is very excited to be teaching at Eastwood Academy and is energized by the interest that many students have shown in learning.

Mr. Forker
My name is Mr. Robert F. Forker. I’ve been exited for the last 20 years, developing my career as an educator, learning about what it takes to become the best teacher (or instructor) possible, and experiencing the challenges and joys of teaching at Eastwood Academy HISD Chartered College Preparatory Magnet High School.

Mr. Norman
I teach Spanish 3, AP Spanish Language, French 1 and 2, and Debate; I also play the guitar. I graduated from the University of Houston with a dual B.A. in French and Spanish.

Mr. Ricardo Elegarle
Mr. Elegarle received his Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science in Mathematics Education from the University of the City of Manila in the Philippines. He also earned a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology.

Mrs. Hargrove
Mrs. Hargrove graduated from Houston Baptist University in 1997. Her majors are English and History in an addition to a certification in Social Studies composite. She has traveled the world and lived in three foreign countries.

Ms. Cooper
I graduated from Lamar University with a B.S. in Secondary Education and teaching certificates in Life Science, Earth Science, Sociology, & Government. I have been teaching science for 20 years and could be called a major environmentalist!

Ms. Anita Suson
Anita Suson is a native Houstonian who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin twice; first, with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (majoring in International Business) and then, with a Doctorate in Jurisprudence.

Mrs. Elia Flores is our College Access Coordinator and works with students, parents, teachers, administrators and university admissions counselors to facilitate a college bound culture at Eastwood Academy.

Ms. Lowe is beginning her sixth year at Eastwood Academy. She holds a degree from the University of Houston in English Literature. This year she will teach ninth grade English and Reading I and II.

Ms. Marlen Peña
Ms. Marlen Peña
Ms. Marlen Peña graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a Bachelor’s in Geography-Resource and Environmental Studies and a minor in Spanish. She teaches Health and Physical Education. -
Ms. Naomi Vance
Ms. Naomi Vance grew up in the Houston area and after graduating high school went up to Michigan to earn her undergraduate degree in mathematics at Alma College. From there she moved to Chicago where she worked in the insurance industry for a few years, but found it very unfulfilling. . .

Ms. Ritchie-Hinde
Ms. Hinde has been teaching English for 13 years, 4 of them at Eastwood Academy. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, twice, once with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science and once with a Master of Arts in English Literature. This year she will be teaching English 2 and English 3.

Christina Campos Trejo is a native New Mexican who moved to Houston 10 years ago, and is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University. She teaches Spanish 1 & 2 classes. She has been with Eastwood Academy since 1999.
